Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie
With a wonderful burst of flavor that’s just delectable to the tastebuds, there’s something comforting and cozy about the banana and peanut butter smoothie. With just the right amount of calories, fiber and minimal total fat, this smoothie recipe is a sure-fire way to start your morning.
Ingredients:
10 ounces skim milk
1 medium-sized banana
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
Procedure:
Simply combine all ingredients in the blender until the mixture runs smooth. Add ice cubes accordingly to achieve the preferred consistency.

Mango and Avocado Smoothie
Packed with the wonderful flavors of mango and avocado, this smoothie is packed with anti-oxidants, vitamin C and fiber.
Ingredients:
½ cup mango sorbet
2 tsp lime juice
1 cup mango, chopped
2 tbsp honey
¼ avocado, peeled and chopped
¼ cup skim milk
¼ cup crushed ice
Procedure:
Place all ingredients into the blender and mix until smooth. Transfer into a tall glass, serve and enjoy.
Agave and Banana Smoothie
As a powerhouse of antioxidants, vitamins C and B6 and potassium, the agave nectar is a nice substitute to table sugar or honey. Its inherently sweet nature complements the creamy and satisfying features of the banana.
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana, chilled and sliced
1 cup plain yogurt, fat-free variety
2 tbsp agave nectar
1/3 cup fresh blueberries
Procedure:
Place all ingredients into the blender and mix until mixture turns smooth. You may also add some ice if more consistency is desired.
Romaine Lettuce and Fruit Smoothie
Romaine lettuce may not be the first thing to come to mind where smoothies are concerned, but romaine lettuce can be delightfully and surprisingly refreshing and obviously healthy. Add to it a great selection of fruits and you have a smoothie that’s sure to make your day.
Ingredients:
1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
1 cup strawberries, chopped
1 cup pineapple, chopped
1 cup apple, chopped
1 cup oats
1 cup skim milk
1 cup ice
Procedure
Pour milk, ice and oats into the blender and mix for around a minute or two. Place the romaine lettuce and blend for another minute. Lastly, place the fruits and mix until desired consistency is reached.
